Ask Root, the in-app AI assistant, about your data and how GigRoot works — or jump anywhere with global search.

Root, the AI assistant

Root answers questions in plain language — about your own data, and about how to use and configure GigRoot — and links you straight to the right record or screen.

Open it from the Root avatar at the bottom of the right-hand chat rail (Ask Root), or on a phone from the chat button, then Ask Root.

Your data — "which deals close this month?", "what is overdue for Priya?", "show open tickets for Acme".
Finding and analysing — search and list leads, deals, tasks, deliverables, invoices, tickets and more, and summarise what it finds.
How-to and settings — "how do I set up a shared inbox?", "where do I load holidays?" — with a link to the screen.

Read-only, and only what you can see

Root never changes anything, and it only sees the records you are allowed to see — it can't be used to look past your permissions. It uses your workspace's AI configuration, so AI must be set up in Settings → AI configuration.

Global search

The search bar in the header of every module — Search everything…, or Cmd/Ctrl+K — finds anything you can open once you type two characters. Results are grouped:

Pages — modules and their views, such as CRM → Forms or Reports → Leaves.
Settings — the settings section you are looking for.
Records — leads, deals, outreach, people, tasks, deliverables, documents, conversations, projects, invoices, payroll, candidates, job posts, tickets and email.

Use the arrow keys and Enter to open a result without touching the mouse.
