Settings

Where every setting lives — personal, workspace, people & HR, modules, finance, integrations & AI, and security.

How Settings is organised

Settings is grouped the same way in the navigation panel, on the settings page and on a phone, and each person sees only the sections they may open:

  • Personal — everyone: Account, Notifications, Privacy & security, Appearance, Email signature.
  • Workspace — the owner only: Company profile, Modules, Demo mode.
  • People & HR — the owner, managers and HR: Roles & permissions, People directory, Leave policies & holidays, HR policies, Attendance; Efficiency for owners and managers.
  • Modules — owners and managers: CRM, Projects, Tracking, Calendar, Conversations, Documents, Reports, Pulse.
  • Finance & billing — Finance and Incentives & commissions for owners and managers; Billing & tax and Payment gateways for the owner.
  • Integrations & AI — AI configuration, Integrations and Social media for the owner; Shared inboxes for the whole team.
  • Security & developer — Security policy and API access for the owner; Module builder for owners and managers.
Owner vs manager
A manager can change everything except the agency's own settings — company profile, branding, billing and tax, payment gateways, AI and integration keys, API access, modules and the security policy. Only the owner makes someone a manager.

Company profile

Settings → Company profile holds your business identity: name, branding, specializations, technologies, services, target clients, USPs, and portfolio. Beyond appearing on documents and proposals, these fields give AI features accurate context — for example, they let prospect generation draft a brief from your agency profile.

Fill it in early
A complete company profile makes every AI feature smarter and your documents more professional. It is the highest-leverage setting to complete first.

AI & integrations

AI configuration holds your Anthropic or Gemini key, the default provider and models, the General Company Instructions every AI task follows, and the Lead Generation Integrations keys (Serper, Google Places, Hunter, Apollo) used by prospect generation. The same key powers Root, document generation and inbox triage.

Integrations connects channels, Twilio and Exotel calling, and Brevo for sending email; Shared inboxes sets up the addresses your team receives and replies from — see Email & shared inboxes.

People & HR

  • Roles & permissions — one role list for the whole agency, built-in roles plus your own, and what each may see and do.
  • Leave policies & holidays — the work week, the holiday list and leave policies; see Leave & holidays.
  • HR policies — attendance, probation and review rules.
  • Attendance — day hours, and per-person leave balance adjustments such as opening balances.
  • Efficiency — scoring heads by role and the minimum acceptable efficiency; see Performance.

Custom fields

Add custom fields to capture data unique to your business on leads, deals, and outreach. Define a field once and it becomes available on those records — and even through the public lead API — so GigRoot adapts to your process instead of the other way around.

Incentives & commissions

Incentives & commissions defines how internal value and payouts work in your agency — deal commission rules and when commissions are credited (on deal close, on payment received, or a split of both), and Freelancer points → pay, the rate at which activity points are paid to freelancers.

Personal settings

  • Appearance — light or dark mode; the owner also sets the agency theme.
  • Notifications — which email and push alerts reach you.
  • Email signature — your signature for mail you send; see Email signatures.
  • Privacy & security — account security and Download my data; the owner also manages API keys here.
