Tasks & Mission Control
Your daily command center — Today, deliverables, approvals, mentions, notifications, and sticky notes.
Mission Control
Mission Control is your daily home base and where you land when you sign in. It pulls together what needs your attention today — deliverables due, mentions, approvals, calls and meetings, and the work you have recorded — in one action-first view.
Instead of hopping between modules to figure out what to do next, open Activity in the morning and work top to bottom.
Views
The navigation panel offers focused views of your work:
- Today — a banner with what is due today, the work you have recorded against your clocked time, and how many items need you, above a dashboard of widgets you can rearrange.
- Work coverage — how much of your clocked time is backed by recorded work (see Performance).
- Mentions — every place someone @mentioned you, opening at the exact note.
- Approvals — one inbox for deliverables, budget requests, leave, expenses, calls & meetings, attendance corrections, payroll and assessment reviews waiting on you.
- Deliverables — one list with filter chips: Mine, Delegated, Recurring, Watching, Overdue and Completed.
- Calls & Meetings — your logged calls and meetings, and what is coming up.
- Team activity — work wins across the team; Celebrate turns one into a Pulse post.
Task board & status
Tasks can be viewed as a list or a kanban board, and you can change a task's status inline without opening it. Each task carries a project, milestone, assignee, due date, priority, and estimate. Click any task to open its detail view for subtasks, dependencies, comments, attachments, and time entries.
Recurring tasks & approvals
For work that repeats on a schedule, create recurring tasks so they regenerate automatically instead of being re-created by hand. Where sign-off matters, tasks and their associated time can route through approval workflows — a manager reviews and approves before the work is considered done or before hours convert to billing and payroll.
Sticky notes & My work
Today is a dashboard, so you can add, move and remove its widgets. Two are worth knowing:
- Sticky notes — private notes for what you need to remember, in six colours, pinned to the top if you like. Enter saves; Shift+Enter starts a new line.
- My work — your board, split into Assigned to me and Assigned to others.
Notifications
The bell, the Notifications page and the notifications card on Today all show one simple list, newest on top, read or not. Decision cards are not notifications: they stay in the Office and on the Work tab. Every unread row has its own Mark read tick, and Mark all read clears the lot. Which alerts reach you by email or push is set in Settings → Notifications.
Mentions
Type @ in a note, comment or chat to mention someone; the mention shows as a chip. On a lead, deal, project, deliverable or task, people who can already open the record are listed first, with the reason (Assigned, On the team, Manager and so on). Everyone else appears under Not on this record yet: picking one asks whether to add them — they see only that record — and then mentions them. A mention never shows someone a record they cannot open.
